Mark A. Wilcher is a management consultant with 10 years experience as a client account manager and customer service researcher with solid subject matter expertise and presentation skills. His responsibilities include, project administration, supervision of on-site staff training and development, fiscal budget development and implementation, oversight of senior management, facility operation, and human resource development and training.

Prior to organizing MW Consultants in 1998, Mr. Wilcher was Vice President of Distribution and Transportation for Smart and Final from 1990 to 1995. Prior to that time, he was Lead Facilitator and Consultant for Maritz Corp., Senior Director of Operations for Qualex a Kodak Company, Regional Director of Distribution and Transportation for Target, Director of Logistics for Ingram Book Company and has served on the executive boards of numerous companies.

Mr. Wilcher has acted as Lead Facilitator and primary project manager for General Motors Corporation, working directly with Entrepreneurial Owners throughout Southern California. Mr. Wilcher performs business systems analysis, customer service surveys; and dissemination of Denison Research materials and management leadership training.

As a master trainer for City, State and Federal entities and numerous Fortune 50, 100, 500 companies; Mr. Wilcher has partnered with senior managers at critical levels of discussion. He has been instrumental in the development of operational programs, installation of organizational changes and has acted as senior facilitator of hundreds of management training and employee development programs. He is customer service sensitive and leads systematic improvement for his clients. He is considered an expert in advanced team building, sexual harassment prevention, diversity, communications and human resource development.
Mr. Wilcher continues to:
  • Manage client information and data gathering and explanation, research and interpretation
  • Management systems in human resource development, aging workforce analysis, advanced training needs
  • Plan and conduct business meetings for data review and quality of service issues, fulfill financial and administrative functions across the board in budget and cost forecasting, Incorporate industry and client knowledge into the internal and external planning functions
  • Develop clear and precise procedures to guide the employees in their daily tasks and provide the adequate tools for the management staff to evaluate performance
  • Train and develop State of California Department of Transportation, Los Angeles Dept. of Building and Safety, and City of Orange’s senior staff in the areas of team building, leadership, diversity and Sexual Harassment training exercises
  • Conducts operations management systems analysis
  • Lead management and technical development for retail, warehousing, transportation and manufacturing companies
  • Lead project development of training budgets, busy season plans, management staffing models and coaching models for safety and risk management companies that improved bottom line performances.
Most, if not all of the aforementioned projects and responsibilities of Mr. Wilcher are the results of his direct, hands-on management assignments and primary and lead consultant responsibilities in his own business training consulting firm. Mr. Wilcher attended Indiana State University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education, and holds a Masters in Business Administration from Webster University in St. Louis, Mo.
